O dever de pensão não se transfere de pai para avô, automaticamente, após a morte do pai. O entendimento é da 4ª Turma do Superior Tribunal de Justiça ao reformar decisão que obrigava o avô a pagar a pensão ao neto. A decisão se deu por maioria, vencendo o voto do ministro Raul Araújo
