Devedor de pensão alimentícia pode ter seu nome incluído em cadastros de restrição de crédito, como Serasa e SPC. Esse foi o entendimento firmado pela 3ª Turma do Superior Tribunal de Justiça ao aceitar um recurso movido pela Defensoria Pública de São Paulo.
Segundo o relator do recurso especial, ministro Villas Bôas Cueva, a medida é eficaz para proteger o direito básico do filho de receber alimentos quando esgotadas todas as outras formas de cobrança.
