Decisão da Terceira Turma do STJ reafirmar entendimento de que a pensão alimentícia devida a ex-cônjuge, excetuando situações excepcionais, como existência de incapacidade física para o trabalho, deve ser fixada por prazo determinado.
Trata-se, portanto, de uma nova decisão em que está mantido o precedente para a formalização de jurisprudência soberana que visa encerrar a assistência eterna por intermédio do pagamento de pensão alimentícia ao ex-cônjuge, possibilitando, inclusive, a interposição de ações revisionais quando inexistente o limitador temporal na sentença que definiu os alimentos.
